Effectiveness of Pest Control of Cocoa Fruit (Conopomorpha cramerella as) Using Pruning and Vegetable Insecticide Treatment on Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L)

The sustainability of cocoa production in Indonesia is faced with the problem pod borer (Theobroma cacao L.). In an effort to control main pests on plants, various techniques can be used, namely use natural insecticides and by technical culture form pruning. Natural insecticide whose basic ingredients come from plants that are easilybiodegradablein nature, so they do not pollute environment relatively safe for humans livestock, because residue easily lost. Pruning act removing part plant organs branches, twigs leaves aim obtaining good regulating distribution branches evenly distributed, unwanted parts, stimulating grow. new organs, reduce risk pest disease attacks, increase ability fruit. purpose this study was determine response application botanical pruning experimental design used a non-factorial randomized block consisting 7 treatments. treatment vegetable consisted 4 levels, I0 (Without = Control), I1 (vegetable made srikaya seeds at dose 250 ml/liter water), I2 tuba root I3 tobacco water). 3 I4 (Control), I5 (Pruning Interval days after study) I6 14 study). Observations attack intensity, level damage caused PBK attack, index Control showed significant effect parameters intensity age 6 weeks, 12 weeks. 2 msp, 8 10 msp no effect.
